Around San Luigi

We were quite glad to leave the col that San luigi stands on - there was a cold wind coming up from the valley.   We opted to go down by the road, with a small detour along the Cardoso path to give us some different views.

On the way down, we went a bit of the way along the path beneath the crags of Monte Gragno - the path leads to Cardoso ...

... and from the path we have a fine view of the hamlet of Motrone across the valley.  At night, we can see the four street lights of Motrone shining in the distance across the Serchio valley

Despite the lack of rain recently, the small hydro reservoir below Cardoso was very full - and green!
