Venice still ...

Our trip continues through the pavilions of the Biennale and the massive surroundings of the Arsenale shipyards.

Ooops! - a bit of bad driving outside the Austrian pavilion - shouldn't have had a lorry in Venice in the first place ...
The exhibit from Georgia -  a real cabin from the woods  reconstructed in Venice.  Inside it, house and contents are wetted by a perpetual shower of rain. Rather disturbing to behold ...

The buildings of the Arsenale continue to try to upstage the exhibits ...

Covered docks allowing protected facilities for the fitting-out of the completed galleys of yesterday

On the way home - The new moon hangs above the Grand Canal seen from the Rialto Bridge.

Even when it's not carnival, the mask shops distract us on the way ...

Everything has to be done by boat - here an ambulance rushes past the windows of our apartment

Our apartment windows seen from across the Grand Canal
On the way to the railway station, a pair of giant hands emerge from the canal to grab onto an unsuspecting palazzo

Arrivederci Venezia - ci vediamo!
