La France ...

We arrived via the Aosta valley and Mont Blanc tunnel in the mountain village of Cordon at around 5pm.  There was more snow around on the Italian side of the Alps than we've seen before - there were people enjoying a Sunday ski very near to the entrance to the Mont Blanc Tunnel.

Looking back down the Aosta valley from the car park at the entrance to the tunnel

First sighting of the French ...
The village of Cordon high above the valley

The clouds are coming and going around the summit of Mont Blanc seen from our hotel in the evening light

  1. What a fabulous view of a magnificient mountain. I presume your first picture of the French is not meant to be any kind of poltiical commentary given that their donkeys are not the fools exiting the EU.
Looking forward to having you back on these islands. Given failure to get to Barga, maybe I need to make a trip to Orkney.
